On deployment: Women Worldwide

Protecting our nations interest at home and overseas is the calling our servicemen and women answer on a daily basis. The UK Armed Forces operate 35 operations in 30 countries around the globe and at sea with approximately 11,000 soldiers, sailors and airmen and women deployed at any time.

We take a look at some of the women deployed worldwide who are helping to keep Britain safe. 👇

“As the only female firing at the time, all the Somali soldiers congregated around my target to see my grouping. They were impressed and congratulated me with clapping and cheers, it humoured me as I still needed to adjust my sight, but I felt proud to illustrate my ability.”
