Military Working Dog’s have been a key asset to all three services long before now; whether that's as protection while out on patrols, being able to search vehicles for arms and explosives, or supporting the police by finding evidence to prosecute criminals.

These brave pooches are able to do things we can’t. Military Working Dogs and their handlers are able to deploy anywhere in the world on any operation, they are highly trained and a specialist asset to whoever they are with.

Among many of the dogs who have served alongside the UK Armed Forces, many have also won medals themselves. Read the heroic story of Kuno, who earned ‘the animal’s Victoria Cross’ in 2019, for extreme bravery under enemy fire in Afghanistan:
