Soldiers deployed to Poland as part of NATO’s Enhanced Forward Presence have been honing their dismounted infantry skills

Soldiers from C Squadron, Light Dragoons, have recently taken part in a dismounted exercise focusing on their assault and raid skills.

These skills are vital for Legion Troop as they need to be able to rapidly assault and destroy enemy objectives.

There are around 140 soldiers from the Light Dragoons and attachments from other parts of the armed forces that make up ‘Legion Troop’. They are the reconnaissance asset of Battle Group Poland.

The UK Armed Forces have a leading role in NATO’s Enhanced Forward Presence (EFP) in the Baltic States to enhance Euro-Atlantic security, reassure our Allies and deter our adversaries. This deployment is called Operation CABRIT.
