Soldiers from the Welsh Guards have been put through their paces in preparation for deploying to Iraq

The troops were tested at Thetford training area ahead of their deployment to Iraq on Operation SHADER. Ranges, medical skills and lessons on patrolling skills are just a few of the areas they have been tested on.

Once in Iraq, the troop’s expertise in vehicle drills, camp security and force protection will be vital for their role as the UK Mobility Company (Kurdistan).
