πŸ‡΄πŸ‡² In Pictures: Exercising in the Arabian desert

The desert in Oman is perfect for providing a realistic environment to train for tasks that our soldiers may be asked to do in the future

British and Omani soldiers have conducted two weeks of training together. They have been honing their skills and drills in patrolling, pilot escapes, evasion tactics, and explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), to name a few. The desert is perfect for this.

This activity has supported the strategic effect of Operation Fortis, the deployment of the UK’s Carrier Strike Group (CSG).

As well as land activity, the UK Armed Forces took part in sea and air exercises.
