In Pictures: Army photographic competition

Photographs of our men and women on operations, at home and on exercise, are an integral part of how we tell the stories of our soldiers who help keep Britain safe.

The winners of this year’s Army Film and Photographic Competition have been revealed at a prestigious ceremony in London.

For the first time in the history of this event, a female soldier has one the top prize. Corporal Rebecca Brown, known as Becky to her colleagues, is a former combat medical technician with 4 Armoured Medical Regiment. Currently based with the combat camera team at Army Headquarters in Andover

Pro Story-Winner-Cpl Ben Beale-‘T’rident Juncture’: Exercise TRIDENT JUNCTURE 2018 (TRJE) was the largest in a series of long-planned military exercises to ensure that NATO forces are trained, able to operate together and ready to respond to any threat, from any direction. Over 30 nations, involving 40,000 personnel took part in this 6-week exercise.
