I am working with the Malaysians on Exercise Bersama Lima
I am Senior Aircraftman Tim Gallop. I have been a reservist for 5 years now and I am currently out in South-East Asia, working with the Malaysians on Exercise Bersama Lima. 🇲🇾
I’ve been a reservist for the last five years, I attested in 2014 and since then, I’ve done a tour of the Falklands, been deployed on Op SHADER and been stationed at RAF Brize Norton for 8 months. As of May 2020, I will be coming back full time as a driver.
I am currently working with the Malaysians on Ex Bersama Lima. Read the below to find out more about Exercise Bersama Lima 👇
We have integrated with them and taught them how to refuel our Typhoons. Its been a very good learning curve for us and them to try different platforms.
Personally, I have never worked on a New Zealand or an Australian aircraft before. So, its been a nice change.
We’ve been controlling and managing the refueling of the New Zealand and the Australian aircraft and of course the Typhoons, from 2 Squadron.
In the five years, I’ve been a reservist I’ve really enjoyed my time at 504. If you want to do, I’d say get yourselves out there, its the most amazing experience. at this particular time, there is so much opportunity for reservists to integrate with our comrades in the regulars.
