19 from 2019: A year in review

The UK Armed Forces are currently deployed on 35 operations in 30 countries around the world. They help keep the peace, deliver humanitarian aid, prepare our friends for success and above all, keep Britain Safe.

Here are some of our favourite images from 2019:

Members of Recce Troop, Queen’s Royal Hussars, were deployed on Operation Cabrit over the Christmas period. They are part of NATO’s Enhanced Forward Presence in Estonia.

The TORAL Aviation Detachment, based in Kabul enables British and NATO troops to travel safely around the Afghan capital by air as the coalition continues to work towards a safe and secure Afghanistan.

Personnel from RFA Mounts Bay, delivering aid to the community of Fox Town on the island of Little Abaco. The town was shut off from the main island when the connecting bridge was washed away during hurricane Dorian. RFA Mounts Bay deployed the RLC’s MEXEFloat to deliver the aid.

The crew of HMS Dragon have taken some time out of their busy working routine to have a BBQ on the flight deck on 24 September 2019. Complete with Hawaiian shirts and a giant projector playing the film Top Gun to get everyone in the mood for the F35B jets arriving with the task group in the coming weeks.
